Federal Workers Say They Are Demoralized and Less Engaged Under Trump
President Donald Trump’s campaign to reshape the federal workforce has left in its wake demoralized employees who have lost confidence in their ability to do their jobs, according to a new survey by the Partnership for Public Service.
The survey, released Thursday, paints a bleak picture of employee sentiment across agencies: The government-wide job satisfaction score fell to 32 out of 100. Only 10% of federal workers who responded said they had trust in their agencies’ political leaders. And as a consequence, 58% of workers said they were less engaged at work compared to the last year of Joe Biden’s presidency.
