EU Lawmakers to Vote on Trade Agreement with US Next Week

The European Parliament’s trade committee advanced the bloc’s trade deal with the US, setting it up for a decision by the full parliament next week, despite lingering uncertainty about the tariff regime for EU exports.

Lawmakers on the committee voted on Thursday to send the trade agreement for a full parliamentary vote. European Parliament President Roberta Metsola told reporters in Brussels Thursday that this will take place next week. If the deal clears parliament, it would then go for negotiations with member states.
