Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s party holds a clear lead in polls ahead of next week’s general election shaped by her standoff with US President Donald Trump over Greenland.

The Social Democrats are set to secure 21.7% of the votes, followed by the Green Left at 12.7%, according to a new poll by Verian for Berlingske. The Liberals, whose leader Troels Lund Poulsen is also vying for premiership, is on track for support of just 12.0% even as the party records its best poll in the current election term.
