Jesse Jackson Jr.’s Comeback Bid for Congress Comes Up Short
Jesse Jackson Jr., a son of the late civil rights leader, fell short in his campaign to get reelected to Congress in the Illinois primaries after a race marked by heavy spending by both artificial intelligence and pro-Israel interest groups.
With nearly 70% of the ballots counted in Illinois’ Second Congressional District, Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller had 41% of the vote compared to 28% for Jackson, according to Decision Desk HQ.
