Idemitsu Kosan Co. said it’s reducing the amount of oil products it supplies to customers for the first time since the outbreak of the Iran War, as it braces for what could be a prolonged disruption.

The major Japanese refiner said it had cut sales, according to a company spokesperson, declining to disclose details on which products were affected or the scale of the reductions.
