Chile Economic Growth Tops Forecasts With Pace Seen as Short-Lived
Chile’s economy grew more than forecast in the fourth quarter of 2025, as expectations for market-friendly policies under President José Antonio Kast boosted sentiment before the Iran war stoked global uncertainty.
Gross domestic product rose 0.6% in the October-December period from the prior three months, double the 0.3% median estimate from analysts in a Bloomberg survey. From a year before, it expanded 1.6%, the central bank said Wednesday.
