Philippine VP Duterte Seeks Dismissal of Impeachment Complaints

Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte sought the dismissal of the two impeachment complaints filed against her, as she denied allegations that include threatening to assassinate President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and misusing public funds.

The complaints “recycle the same accusations” contained in last year’s case that had been nullified by the Supreme Court, according to the vice president’s answer to the House of Representatives’ justice committee on Monday.
