Nigerian Inflation Eases Before Fallout From Iran War Hit

Nigeria’s annual inflation rate eased marginally in February, giving consumers a small measure of temporary respite before fuel prices and transport costs began rising due to the Iran war.

The annual inflation rate slowed to 15.06% in February from 15.1% the month before, data published by the National Bureau of Statistics on Monday showed. That was broadly in line with the median estimate of three economists in a Bloomberg survey. The month-on-month inflation rate rose 2%, after falling 2.9% in January.
