Photographer: Mark Felix/BloombergAirline passengers could see ticket prices increase and remain at elevated levels if the Strait of Hormuz that’s a key passageway for oil transports isn’t secured by Memorial Day, according to the head of an industry group representing the largest carriers in the US.
“If we get two more months into this, I think that’s when you’ll see not just a price increase but price increases that may be a little stickier,” Chris Sununu, the president of Airlines for America, said in an interview on Monday.
