Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk insisted on Friday the government still planned to use €43.7 billion ($50.3 billion) from the European Union’s loans-for-weapons program despite a presidential veto.

After President Karol Nawrocki said on Thursday he wouldn’t sign a bill giving Warsaw quick access to the Security Action for Europe program, Tusk pledged to find workarounds to get the funds through government decrees. Still, he admitted that some delays in signing contracts were inevitable.
