Asean Yet to Win Pledges from Members to Drop Export Curbs
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations failed to secure any firm commitments from its members to waive export curbs, even as the regional bloc declared it would keep trade flowing with the Iran war straining food and fuel.
“We haven’t had any commitment yet from them,” Philippine Trade Secretary Cristina Roque, who chaired the meeting of economic ministers in Manila, said on Friday. She said discussions will continue.
