A class-action lawsuit filed in January alleged the company, owned by Linus Technologies Inc., is misrepresenting the calories and fat content in its protein bars, which come in flavors including Fudge Brownie and Red Velvet. The plaintiffs claim the real calorie count is closer to about 270, up to 83% higher than the 150 touted on the package, and the fat content is up to 400% more than labeled, putting the bar maker in violation of federal law.
