Tesla’s Energy Division Gets UK License to Supply Electricity

Tesla Inc.’s energy division has been granted a license to supply electricity in the UK, giving the company access to potential customers in British homes and businesses.

Tesla Energy Ventures Ltd. received the license following a seven-month process, regulator Ofgem said in a statement Thursday. The license for the division of Elon Musk’s Tesla took effect at 6 p.m. local on Wednesday and it only applies to Great Britain.
