Port of LA Imports Rose 3% in February Ahead of Lunar New Year

Total container traffic though the Port of Los Angeles in February rose nearly 3% as importers brought in goods ahead of the Lunar New Year, when many Asian factories pause production.

While cargo volumes were steady last month, uncertainty is mounting across global supply chains due President Donald Trump’s changing tariff policies and the conflict in the Middle East, Port of LA Executive Director Gene Seroka said at a media briefing.
