Commodities Hedge Funds Reap Gains From Swings Amid Iran War
Hedge funds managed by Ron Ozer, Doug King and former Millennium Management senior portfolio manager Steve Barclay are the latest to have notched gains last week from the commodities volatility in the wake of the Iran war, even as many larger peers suffered losses.
King’s RCMA Capital saw its Merchant Commodity Fund return 9.5% in the five days through March 6 and advanced this week as well, with returns this year surging to double digits at around 20%, according to the firm.
