Brazil’s annual inflation eased slightly less than expected in February, fueling bets that the central bank will opt for a more gradual approach in its upcoming monetary easing campaign.

Official data released Thursday showed consumer prices rose 3.81% from a year earlier, just above the 3.76% median estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. From a month ago, inflation gained 0.7%.
