Kyiv Rebuffs Hungarian Team Sent to Check Pipeline Damage

Ukrainian authorities dismissed an announcement by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government that it would send a team to assess damage to a key pipeline, escalating a standoff between the two countries.

Deputy Energy Minister Gabor Czepek said on Wednesday that he was leading a team to Kyiv to hold talks to create “the conditions for the reopening” of the pipeline that carries Russian crude via Ukraine.
