Lettuce and Tomato Prices Surge in February

It’s not a good time to make a salad.

Lettuce prices jumped 12.2% in February, the biggest monthly increase since December 2018, and tomatoes were up 6.4%, the most in 10 years, according to government data published Wednesday.
