Greece to Impose Cap on Profit Margins for Fuel, Groceries
Greece will impose a profit margin cap on fuel and groceries, in a bid to keep prices of key goods under control and prevent further surges stemming from the turmoil in the Middle East.
Speaking at a meeting with the country’s president, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that the government would specify later Wednesday “a cap on profit margins in both fuel and super market products.” The measures will take effect immediately and will last until June 30.
