Drone Strike Kills UN Aid Worker, Civilians in Eastern Congo

A drone strike killed three people in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo city of Goma, including a United Nations aid worker.

The UN worker who died in the attack that took place on Wednesday was a French employee of the UN Children’s Fund, French President Emmanuel Macron said on X. Goma has been occupied by Rwanda-backed M23 rebels for more than a year.
