Qantas Hikes Fares on Long-Haul Routes as Fuel Prices Surge

Qantas Airways Ltd. said it’s raising fares on international routes as fuel prices jump and demand surges for long-haul flights to Europe.

“Qantas International is increasing fares this week in response to rising costs including the significant increases in jet fuel prices,” the Australian airline said in a statement Tuesday. “These increases will vary from route to route.”
