Uzum raised $130 million in a financing round led by Oman’s sovereign funds that valued the Uzbek fintech and e-commerce company at $2.3 billion.
The transaction combined primary equity and structured capital to establish the pre-money valuation, Uzum said in a statement Tuesday. Some existing shareholders, such as China’s Tencent Holdings Ltd, VR Capital Group and FinSight Ventures, also took part.
