Norway Inflation Slowdown Keeps Door Open for More Easing
Norway’s underlying inflation eased as analysts expected, keeping alive the prospect of more monetary easing after last months’ spike in price growth.
Underlying consumer-price growth excluding energy slowed to 3% in February, the lowest pace in three months, according to data from the statistics office on Tuesday. The result was in line with the median forecast in a survey of economists, while Norges Bank’s projection in its December monetary policy report was 2.6%.
