Laura Overdeck Can Add Claims About Two Sigma Staff to Lawsuit

The wife of Two Sigma Investments co-founder John Overdeck can amend a suit she filed against his estate lawyers to include allegations that the quant firm’s employees participated in a scheme to shield billions of dollars of assets from their divorce.

Laura Overdeck alleged in a 2023 suit that law firm Seward & Kissel assisted her husband in diverting marital assets — including a large stake in Two Sigma — to irrevocable trusts he controlled. A New Jersey judge ruled Tuesday that she can add to the suit claims that Two Sigma employees participated in the alleged scheme.
