Africa’s Pasta Capital Bans Land Imports to Protect New Factory

Ghana has banned land imports of pasta to prevent smuggling, days after inaugurating its first domestic processing plant.

The finance ministry also announced restrictions on cooking oil, rice, sugar, textiles, and frozen products in a post on X Monday, a move to protect tax revenue and shield local industries from cheaper contraband goods.
