Ecuador Locates, Bombs Alleged Cartel Camp With US Support
Ecuador used US intelligence and support to locate and bomb an alleged drug-traffickers’ camp near its northern border with Colombia, according to the Defense Ministry.
The camp, located in oil-rich Sucumbíos province, was used by the criminal organization Comandos de la Frontera for training and rest, with a capacity of about 50 gang members, the ministry added, without mentioning casualties.
