UK Energy Regulator Ofgem’s CEO Jonathan Brearley to Step Down

The chief executive officer of UK energy regulator Ofgem, Jonathan Brearley, will step down at the end of March, according to a statement.

Brearley, who led the watchdog since 2020 and oversaw a turbulent period in Britain’s energy markets, will take up the role of permanent secretary at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the statement added.
