Chile’s Annual Inflation Hit Nearly Six-Year Low Before Iran War
Chile’s annual inflation slowed to the lowest level since 2020 last month before conflict in the Middle East drove up both oil prices and global economic uncertainty, clouding the outlook for local monetary policy.
Consumer prices rose 2.4% in February from a year prior, less than the 2.5% median forecast from analysts in a Bloomberg survey. Monthly inflation was unchanged, the national statistics institute reported on Friday.
