The UK’s antitrust watchdog will carry out a market study of the £8.4 billion ($11.2 billion) private dentistry sector to assess whether consumers are getting value for money.

The Competition and Markets Authority said on Thursday that one in five people in Britain used private dentists in 2024 and that prices have been on the rise.
