Private Jets Swarm Oman as Muscat Becomes Ground Zero for Escape
Muscat International Airport, usually a backwater facility for tourists who favor the slow pace of Oman over the glitz of nearby Dubai, is suddenly heaving.
Governments from the UK to Germany to Italy are dispatching rescue missions to the airport to retrieve stranded citizens, while private-jet movements have surged tenfold in the past week. Carriers including Qatar Airways are conducting flights from Muscat to get passengers to London, Berlin or Amsterdam.
