Pakistan is willing to halt operations against Afghanistan if the Taliban government stops supporting militant groups from its territory, the country’s top military leader Field Marshal Asim Munir said.

Munir, Pakistan’s most powerful man, said the use of Afghan soil for “terrorism” against Pakistan was unacceptable and that all necessary measures would be taken to neutralize the threat, according to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations. Kabul has denied hosting or supporting militant groups.
