Ellison Pledges Editorial Independence for CNN in Paramount Deal

Paramount Skydance Corp. Chief Executive Officer David Ellison took steps to reassure journalists at CNN that the network won’t kowtow to the Trump administration when his company acquires its parent Warner Bros. Discovery Inc.

“Editorial independence will absolutely be maintained,” Ellison said in an interview Thursday on CNBC. “It’s maintained at CBS. It’ll be maintained at CNN.”
