StanChart Appoints Former JPMorgan Exec Mallela To Lead Payments

Standard Chartered Plc has appointed the former global co-head of JPMorgan Chase & Co’s blockchain division to lead its payments business worldwide, as it continues to modernize its cash management systems.

Naveen Mallela, who stepped down from his role at the helm of JPMorgan’s Kinexys business last month, will join Standard Chartered as global head of payments on May 4, the bank said in a statement on Wednesday.
