F-35 Israeli Fighter Jet Downs First Enemy Plane in Dogfight

An Israeli F-35I fighter shot down an Iranian Yak-130 multirole jet over Tehran, the Israel Defense Forces said, marking the US-made stealth jet’s first known air-to-air victory against a crewed aircraft.

The IDF didn’t provide details of the incident that occurred Wednesday. The Russian-made Yak-130 is both a training aircraft and a light attack jet.
