Ecuador expelled the entire staff of the Cuban embassy in the latest rupture between Quito and leftist governments in the region.

The foreign affairs ministry said that ambassador Basilio Gutiérrez and his colleagues have 48 hours to leave the country. In parallel, President Daniel Noboa removed Ecuador’s ambassador to Havana from his post.
