Czech inflation unexpectedly slowed further in February but the energy shock from the Iran war may limit the central bank’s room for resuming interest rate cuts.

Consumer prices rose 1.4% from a year earlier, the slowest pace since 2016, according to a flash estimate published by the statistics office on Wednesday. The reading was below the 1.6% median estimate in a Bloomberg survey and the central bank’s own projection for the month.
