Brown-Forman Plunges, Erasing Gains, on Uncertain US Outlook

Shares of Brown-Forman Corp. plunged on Wednesday after executives flagged stubborn weakness in the US spirits market, outweighing quarterly results that surpassed expectations.

On the company’s conference call, Chief Executive Officer Lawson Whiting said that while performance has improved in the US, “it’s still not great.”
