Agnelli Family’s Media Company to Sell La Stampa Daily to SAE

The Agnelli family agreed to sell the Italian daily La Stampa to Gruppo SAE for an undisclosed sum, ending decades of ownership by the family that founded carmaker Fiat.

Gedi Gruppo Editoriale SpA, the media firm owned by the Agnellis’ Exor NV, didn’t release financial terms in a statement announcing the deal on Wednesday. SAE, which owns a number of regional Italian dailies, is expected to include investors tied to Italy’s northwestern region, according to the statement.
