Spain should work with the European Union when setting its position on large international matters, the country’s largest business group said.

“In the current context of international uncertainty, it’s more necessary than ever to go by the hand of the EU when setting positions and making decisions of transnational significance, and we hope the government can redirect this situation,” the CEOE said in a statement together with two other industry groups, ATA and Cepyme. The comments came after the US threatened to cut off trade relations with Spain.
