Turkey Inflation, Iran War Risks Set to Pause Rate Cut Cycle

Turkey’s annual price growth accelerated in February, complicating the central bank’s disinflation efforts that’s already been threatened by the spike in energy costs due to the Iran war.

Annual inflation quickened to 31.5% from 30.7% in January, data showed on Tuesday, in line with the median forecast in a survey of Bloomberg analysts. Monthly inflation rate was 2.96% compared to 4.84% in January.
