Iraq has halted oil exports from its semi-autonomous Kurdistan region to the port of Ceyhan in Turkey, according to people with direct knowledge of the situation.

About 200,000 barrels a day of oil shipments have been shut in after producers reduced output as a precautionary measure amid the widening conflict in the Middle East, the people said, asking not to be identified as the information isn’t public. Only 50,000 barrels a day are being produced for local consumption, they said.
