Belgium Detains Three in Cameroon Secessionist War Crimes Probe
Belgium arrested four people, detaining three of them, as part of an investigation into alleged crimes against humanity and war crimes linked to Cameroon’s separatist conflict.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office said it’s targeting people in Belgium suspected of being part of the leadership of the Ambazonia Defense Forces, a movement in Cameroon fighting for the secession of an English-speaking region to create a new country known as Ambazonia.
