Malaysia’s Bid to Limit Prime Minister’s Tenure Fails Vote

A proposed amendment to Malaysia’s constitution to limit the prime minister’s tenure to 10 years has failed to garner the two-thirds majority support of lawmakers.

The bill received 146 votes, just shy of the 148 needed to pass.
