Bulgaria’s Ex-President Launches Coalition to Run in Snap Vote
Bulgaria’s former President Rumen Radev took the first formal step to running in the next general election in a bid to end the Balkan nation’s years-long political turmoil.
On Monday Radev registered an alliance called Progressive Bulgaria to run in the snap vote scheduled for April 19, local media outlet BNT reported. Polls show that any faction led by him may win by a large margin.
