US Envoy Warns Czechs on Possible NATO Spending Gap, Denik N Reports

The new Czech government of Andrej Babis said it’s not aiming to increase defense spending in line with US demands of NATO allies, prompting the intervention of the US ambassador.

Defense spending should be increased “not to meet an ask from abroad, but as a necessary investment by Czechs to keep Czechs safe,” the US embassy in Prague told local media.
