Malaysia will decide whether to establish a Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate allegations of wrongdoing at the country’s anti-graft agency after a committee investigating the shareholdings of the commission’s chief submits a separate report next week.

The cabinet will make the decision after the committee, which is led by the attorney general, issues its findings into reports that Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Commissioner Azam Baki held shares that were above the allowed limits for public officials, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said at a press conference in Putrajaya on Friday.
