Kenya Inflation Unexpectedly Eases, Boosts Rate-Cut Chances
Kenyan annual inflation unexpectedly eased to 4.3% in February, giving the central bank more scope to continue cutting interest rates.
The annual rate declined from 4.4% in January as prices rose 0.2% in the month, the Nairobi-based Kenya National Bureau of Statistics said on Friday in an emailed statement. The median estimate of three economists in a Bloomberg survey was 4.5%.
