European Stocks Hit Longest Monthly Winning Streak Since 2013

European shares rose, achieving their longest monthly winning streak since 2013 and showcasing the region’s growing appeal as investors seek alternatives to the US.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index gained 0.1% to close at a fresh record high. It’s up 3.7% in February, clocking in an eighth month of gains. The food and beverage sector fared best in Friday’s session alongside telecoms, while travel stocks were the biggest laggards. The S&P 500 was heading for its biggest monthly loss since March.
