Smucker Jumps After Pact With Activist Elliott on Directors

JM Smucker Co. said two new directors will be joining its board as part of an agreement reached with activist investor Elliott Investment Management.
Woo-Sung Chung and David Singer will join the board in April. The deal also includes sharing information with the activist investor with the goal of boosting shareholder value.
