European Banks Tell ECB They’re Set to Benefit From AI

A top European Central Bank official said lenders from the region expect to benefit as artificial intelligence shakes up their business models.

In recent workshops with lenders “one key message from these banks was confidence,” said Pedro Machado, a member of the ECB’s Supervisory Board. “Many banks consider themselves well equipped to reap the benefits of AI, while also managing the associated risks prudently.”
